Nigel Dobbie owns this awesome and one off in the UK Z6 Racing Corvette with a heavily reworked big block Chevy and twin T4 turbos on custom headers and with an all bespoke intake system. With its Motec M800 ECU and V8 coil expander managing all the engine activities.This is a true super car with its twin turbo set up being one of only six produced to date - these give this car an amazing power potential. The car is a regularly used track toy as well as being a long distance tourer - regularly visiting the classic tracks of Europe and so needed manners to suit. The package also needed to work well on normal unleaded fuel but when Nigel planted his right foot it needed to go like the super car it is. Nigel's Z6 came to us with a safe map which had been produced by the turbo equipment installers - the map was over rich everywhere and had so little advance in it that Nigel was actually slightly down on power for a stock Z6 which produces 405 BHP @ the crank which equates to a little under 300 rear wheel BHP on a Mustang Dynamometer. The end result after tuning on the RACE SHACK Mustang Dynamometer ? - up by 88 BHP @ the wheels and up a full 1500 ft lbs in rolling torque in fourth gear - what's that in real money - well is almost exactly what a brand new VAG VW 1.9 TDI engine makes on our rollers on a third gear power pull - a family saloon sized increase in power all this in what is now a mid tune and still very safe map! - stick some 108 octane street legal fuel in there for some track day action and wind the boost up a little more and there is still a whole 100 rear wheel BHP more available from this twin turbo V8 track monster - Question is, could it be used ?
